Innovation to what end? Exploring the dynamic landscape of Texas teacher preparation pathways

چکیده

The teacher education and preparation marketplace is a complex mix of traditional alternative programs. Though prior studies have identified great deal variation across these programs, an analysis innovation has been limited. Drawing on theories organizational innovation, specifically, dimensions related to structure, processes, outcomes, we conduct exploratory study in Texas’ marketplace. This descriptive programs includes state national data three years (2014-2017). Data also include results from content 30 sample program websites. Although most met accountability requirements, found few signaled program, teacher, workforce characteristics. Rather, assimilation as adopted similar features remain competitive.
